چکیده

Abstract Plant mechanical failure (lodging) causes significant yield loss for crops such as maize. Understanding this has relied on static measurements of plant biomechanics. In study, digital image correlation techniques are used to capture dynamic motion understand the behaviour maize stalks in presence and absence brace roots, which stem-borne aerial roots known stabilize stalks. The data show that function secure stalk, limiting both deflection uplift. A finite element (FE) model is developed using ABAQUS software validate non-contact, video-based measured deflections captured by confirm linear elastic stem, following fundamental principles engineering mechanics. Good agreement found between field physics-based FE when a rotational connector connected at base quantify (i) relative contribution moment resistance provided root system, (ii) displacement any location along stalk (iii) flexural rigidity brace-stem where can be associated with various phenotypes design systems more resilient lateral loading.

the effect of functional/notional approach on the proficiency level of efl learners and its evaluation through functional test

in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...

an investigation of the impact of self monitoring on langauge teachers motivational practice and its effect on learners motivation

the central purpose of this study was to conduct a case study about the role of self monitoring in teacher’s use of motivational strategies. furthermore it focused on how these strategies affected students’ motivational behavior. although many studies have been done to investigate teachers’ motivational strategies use (cheng & d?rnyei, 2007; d?rnyei & csizer, 1998; green, 2001, guilloteaux & d?...

the evaluation of language related engagment and task related engagment with the purpose of investigating the effect of metatalk and task typology

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...
